Project Background
Every year around school time, Officeworks™ launches the "Back to school" campaign for parents to shop school lists and supplies online and in store with ease. For the 2021 campaign, I was responsible for working on updates to the "Back to school" experience, including the online upload list service and updating the emails and comms sent to the users with each step.
Method
As part of the messaging update, I wanted to introduce some illustrations to visualise which step of the process we are currently at. I broke down the new online experience to 3 phases. I then started breaking down where parents are going to be engaged and what message needs to be communicated at each step.

Colors
Working with the marketing and brand teams, I used the colours set for the overall campaign in my illustrations for consistency.


Icons
I have created some icons for school items to be used in the different illustration phases. All icons had to be consistent with the brand and campaign guidelines
Illustration trials
Many trials were carried out to try various styles for the illustrations
